3.5. Tennis and Badminton Clinic

This service aims to help you achieve your sports potential by conditioning you to become faster, stronger, more resilient and precise. We cater to all levels of players from beginners to internationals. Our clinicians are also keen overhead sports players, so we understand how important it is to keep you “smashing” pain-free and how to upgrade your performance.

 

We commonly see:

  • Rotator cuff tendinitis or tears

  • Tennis elbow or golfer’s elbow (lateral or medial epicondylitis)

  • Wrist sprains or strains

  • Ankle sprains

  • Knee injuries (patellar tendinitis or jumper’s knee)

  • Low back pain (from twisting motions or repetitive jumps)

  • Shin splints

  • Shoulder impingement

 

How we manage:

 

With or without symptoms, you will go through assessment:

  • Screening of your injury history and playing techniques

  • Sports goal/ targets

  • Current injuries/ concerns 

  • Objective examination and test to measure strength, power, and endurance 

  • Motion analysis with video recording if required- scapular mechanics, glenoid-humeral joint motion, neck posture, muscle activation, impact

 

Based on the assessment, we will give: 

  • Simple advice on modifying playing style and training schedule

  • Personalised program that utilised the principle of strength and conditioning to address any identified deficits

  • Recommendation on further review and self-management,

  • Referral for further investigation if required, such as MRI, diagnostic ultrasound.
